CHANNELS > RESIST > ANTISEMITISM
This is an antisemite. He is not protesting the massacre of Palestinians as many outlets are saying. He is a right wing conservative and supposedly a Christian (Catholic) but, one who does not practice Christian values. His words, actions (obviously) and policies indicate that he hates the Hebrew people. This incident absolutely stems from his hatred for an entire people, not from his protest of the actions of a state. Don't assume he is protesting Israel on behalf of Muslims. His record shows that he hates Muslims more than he does the Jewish people. If you use this image as a way to prop up your arguments for militarism in Israel and draconian laws in the United States and elsewhere, then you need a check.

We can resist antisemitism and zionism simultaneously without sending mixed signals. Zionism is the belief that this land (from the river to the sea) is yours, and that you can do whatever you want with it. Hamas rose to protect the people in the open air prison (walled city of the Gaza strip) but all over the West bank and East Jerusalem, the Palestinian people are being thrown out of their homes to make room for the settlers. White nationalists from just down the street here in America are joining the IDF. They have "plans for these animals" while at the same time millions of Hebrews worldwide stand united against this same type of dehumanization that led to the Nazi holocaust. And for this reason, we can stand FOR the Hebrew and AGAINST the zionist if we are united against colonialism and the barbaric practices that enable it. There is a line. When you extinguish the menorah, you lose my support and I defend the Hebrew. But I will not endorse sending 14.3 billion dollars to systematically oppress and extinguish a whole people to put the finishing touches on your pure ethnostate.

The United States recently voted on a resolution (not a law, but a type of framework for future laws... wording we the people can agree to) which categorically states that antizionism is antisemitism. This means that, once a law is in effect, I cannot legally protest Israel's policies as it will be deemed antisemitic and likely, punishable by law. FOR THIS REASON, I AM CONCERNED. Keep in mind that, very quietly, Israel has already been very successful in having laws passed which create a financial burden (you will be denied government funds) for anyone that protests Israel. As of 2021 there were 35 states with chilling laws concerning the First Amendment.
